Exactly what it should be: the Tempranillo is a simple bright Mediterranean grape, but a year in oak and half a decade in a bottle give it a halo of chocolatey goodness that flirts around the aftertaste. And the aroma of a living history saddlemaker's shop. The $10 price tag and scotch-level length of aftertaste bump this to an 8.8 for me--it's kind of ridiculous that this is so savorable!

The inital taste was nice but it left a cheap wine after taste in the mouth. Not horrible, husband did not like it.

Excellent wine, very easy to drink and paired with a salmon recipe. Delicious and will buy again.
