An interesting varietal red to try. Dark fruit and mineral on the nose--the most noticeable mineral in a red I've tried so far. Medium acid, quite strong lingering chewy tannins--the overall experience is dryness. Black raspberry, black currant, plum, some pruney oak with a touch of baking spice, bit of a burnt bitter aftertaste. This doesn't do much for me beyond being a varietal curiosity.
