Roda 1 is one of my go to Rioja loves 💗 & is superb for the money @ £35-£40 😉 The 01, 04 & 05 were all top wines 👍 The 2011 is showing well & a great example of a modern Rioja 👍 Nit a deep as other vintages & more fresher but fab still 😎

👃 Soft smokey oak through dark cherry w/ touches of herbs, cocoa, peppered spices, red berry liquorice, earth & blackcurrant
👄 Med body of creamy dark cherry bathed in cocoa w/ a black berry fruit & raspberry kick evolving into sone prune & date tones as it opens after a few hours - the Grenache brings a lovely freshness to this vintage 👍
🎯 Med+ dry cherry driven dark fruit linger w/ a hit of minerality & a red berry fruit kick

Vanilla bean, coco, dark forest berry, black cherry, cedar bark. Juicy, ripe black cherry fruit, rich but not over extracted. Acidity pairs well with food. Hold for 5+ years to allow oak to better integrate. Stylistically similar to Napa. Delicious now and has room to improve.
