Dusty cellar notes. Earthy, dried cherry, strawberry, dried sagebrush, raspberry too. Integrated tannins, with plush red fruit and a gentle warmth to finish. Vanilla, cardamom, and subltle spices on the palate too. Stand out wine. — 2 years ago

Red cherry twizzler pull apart licorice…. That’s what jumps out on the nose. With time and further investigation, there’s an herbal, minty note, dried tobacco, mulberry and a reductive medicinal cherry feel. Showing development and sweetness. Cherry, forest berries meet this dried sandlewood almost cigar box feel on the palate. Freshness hangs on with plenty of structure. Drink or hold. — 2 years ago

Had it a year ago. It was drinking nicely w/ room for improvement for years. Surprisingly, still an under valued producer.

Day 2: Dried cranberry, turned soil, gravel, rustic, with a dried forest feel. Vibrant on the palate with fresh, crunchy cranberry and raspberry. Earth undertones too. Finishes with a strawberry tart note. Well balanced. Impressed with the length. Beserkerday flier… will be back for more. — 2 years ago

Fresh apricot, glazed almond, nutmeg, and cardamon spice. Layered with honeysuckle, pear, and green apple. There is a short crust, pear tart character on the nose. Still so grab and lively on the palate. Stone fruit, orchard fruit, toasted almonds, and Danish butter cookies. Linear acidity with bright, zesty finish with pithy lemon notes and tart apple. Lingering finish with a touch of warm spice. Waited a while to pop this one - it was well worth the wait! — 2 years ago

Firing on all cylinders… dried cherry, plum, cassis, tobacco, cedar box, mint, clove, nutmeg, mushroom. Nose is complex, with layers of aromas. Balances fruit with secondary earthy flavors. Oak is well integrated. Structure shows with balance, but is aging gracefully. Plenty of length with big tart blackcherry and plum to finish. Chalky and dry. Really well done. Drink now with a quick decant. — 2 years ago

Glass stopper. Fresh, but still serious. Earthy, mushroom, blackcherry, plum, pepper. Smooth and savory, with acid > tannin. Deep dark cherry and plum flavors are accented by dark chocolate shavings. A little quick to finish. Pound-able with some layers. Solid. — 2 years ago

Dense and creamy showing weight and concentration. Candied lemon peel, ripe honey-crisp apples, with hints of butterscotch and chalky. Off-dry in style, with apple cider and honey note on the tongue. Lingering finish with pretty acidity. A classic example from a classic producer. 94 — 2 years ago

Pretty, rich dark fruits. Blueberry pie, bramble berry, maybe a touch stewed plums. Classic Rhone garrigue... Violets, wet stone, a unique soapy floral note. Palate reveals fresh red cherry, blueberry, raspberry and blackberry - this is like a farmers market berry stand. Layered with a touch of almound pastry. Clean finish with minerality and herbs. So solid and a great QPR from a classic producer. — 2 years ago

Rustic, elegant nose. Dried cherry, dried orange rind, clay, and cranberry. Perfumed but still structured. Softening tannins with oranges and cranraspberry fruit. Old world charm. A really balanced Barolo - no sharpness or overly edgy tannin. Drink with a short decant. Blend of: Rocche di Castiglione (60%), Cannubi (20%) and Bric dël Fiasc (20%). Hence, Ca-Ro-Bric. — 2 years ago

Mulberry, black rasberry, eccalyptus and black tea aromas. Hints of pine sap and cedar. Plush and soft on the palate. Essentially an equal part split of Merlot and Cabernet. Plum, blackberry and forest notes. Length and depth of flavor are there too. Merlot brings a presumable softness. Very approachable, but no rush. — 2 years ago
