It’s also 40% Granacha according to the label. But let’s call it Monastrell (or maybe Mourvèdre from Mencia). Dark crimson and rusty-red in the glass. Aroma is fairly robust. Violet candy, fresh cut hardwoods, black cherry sauce. Bit of camphor and hint of anise as well. Flavor is juicy, dark fruit driven. Fleshy. Bit of balsamic reduction or pomegranate molasses in the mix. It’s an extracted, full bodied Spanish bruiser. Little mint, salvia zip in there too. It’s got a lovely finish of black currants and cedar smoke. Tiny bit savory. This is a very nice blend. Could be a little lighter and express more finesse perhaps, but it’s makes up for that with chutzpah. ¡Vino Fantastico!

Great combo of 60% Monastrell and 40% Grenache..which helps lift the Monastrell at a Great price point. Earthy

Classic old world Spanish vino tinto. Full bodied and dry but with loads of fruit. Blueberries and blackberries on the nose. Medium tannins that soften as the wine airs.

Excellent with scallops, long finish and we found it drier than we thought.
