Aged in French and American Oak, on the palate complex flavors of sweet ripe cherry and blueberry fruit, medium acidity, soft tannins and slight tangy smoky cedar finish. Badass Crianza that has plenty of grip and structure. Concentrated and built for 5-7 years’ cellaring. The antithesis of the lactic, pruny, brownish and overly oaked Rioja that seems to be everywhere.

I’m finding this to be very elegant and lively with its spicy, red-fruited expression of pure Tempranillo. I love this style and the price point.

Barnyard and baking spices upon opening, however after 15 minutes its now chocolate, coffee, spices, and jam. Quite tart, but low tannins and opens up to nice jammy flavor.

Crunchy bright red fruit. Not in the best place at the moment, would probably revisit in a year. Well made, and you can sense the underlying structure.
