Full bodied, kind of sweet, sharp ish at the end, tannins but pleasantly so. Paired with brisket burger (caramelized onions and mushrooms) smells kind of musty, smooth initially, becomes thinner at the end. Fruity.

Sourced from Tempranillo vines planted in 1957 and raised in 100% new French oak, this sexy, dark fruit-dominated wine shows outstanding depth as well as vivacity. Decadently enjoyable now, it’ll be even better, and more complex, with another few years of age. (JR)
