Slow to open. Acidic for first few hours. Balanced out in time. Wonderful nose. Cannot mistake for other than a great burgundy. Great leathery base. Bright fruit has departed (which is good). Slight hint of backend oxidation. Drinks wonderfully after 12-18 hrs!

A quintessential Burgundian nose with understated elegance, revealing black cherries, dried rose petals, sous bois, exotic Asian spices, menthol, with just a hint of oak imparted vanilla. Quite harmonious on the palate with red and dark fruit flavors, great tension on the midpalate with hints of savory notes and a spicy herbal finish. A bit reticent on the palate, however there is a undeniable charm and elegance.

Huge huge wine. Not sure how would actually peg it as burg. After an hour it was relieved of some of its "stress". Deep black cherry. Somehow was refreshing... killer wine. Not sure it's worth the $$, but great.
