Circa 2016. Check out the non-frosted bottle. Another cellar discovery for us. Surprisingly fresh and zippy with no signs of aging. Sweet and sour candy notes. Impressive for its continued verve and vitality.

On the nose, notes of grapefruit and lemon sherbet are piercing. As always, mid palate presents pineapples and guava. Finishes with brisk acidity, but tilts toward dryness. Very well done, as usual...

More evolved than it was 6-8 months ago. Tangerine, kaffir lime, acacia flowers, lemongrass, raw almonds, petrol, and beeswax. White pepper and oyster brine finish. @Maayan Koschitzky making beautiful music with Crocker & Starr fruit.

Jun 24th, 2018Bright, breezy and exotic package. Sourced from St Helena which is dry-farmed. The winemaker proposes green apple notes, and I totally agree. Crunchy on the palate. Zippy, with citrus and yeast. Lovely meyer lemons finish the show - a beauty.

This is what my liver and head are calling this long weekend. Thank you @ADAM STROMFELD this was young but it was loaded with pure tropical fruit and considerable lift.

This was good last night but on day two it was amazing. So I would give these some time. There is a great acidity, tropical fruit, and a round mouthfeel. Thank you @Joe Lucca for sharing this one!

Oct 24th, 2017One of my new favorite sauvignon blancs. Citrus, stone fruit, wet crushed rock. Very balanced, delicious and refreshing.

Nov 23rd, 2017As you can see, the main course at lunch was Sauvignon Blanc! Many styles represented here. The Brilliant Mistake carved out some space of its own; needed about an hour to open up, loads of florals and tropical blossoms layered with Meyer lemon and nice minerality. @john&stacy brilliantmistakewines @Maayan Koschitzky
