Mar 9th, 2024Gah - La Luna Rouge is one of my favorite ever wines. I’ve purchased probably 30 bottles of it in the last two years, including for my wedding. But this Blanc version was so boring. A bit heavy on the mouthfeel and no notable flavors. Just kind of...white wine. Maybe I’m getting used to “new” California Chardonnay that is often notably floral or citrus-y as a way to prove to consumers it isn’t wine from the 90s....and so this felt in comparison sold of old fashioned and kind of bland. Not bad, but not me and none of the fun of the Rouge.
