Wow.. This is why I only tend to like higher end Merlot from California if not from Bordeaux.. opulent sweet red fruit on the nose and palate, gorgeous wild flower and sweet tobacco, a whif of milk chocolate as it opens up, mouthfilling but round tannins even at 8 years old, but smooth as all get out.. very complete.
