This is a nice everyday red wine from California.
Showing black fruits with wood, vanilla, cloves, chocolates, mocha and coffee.
Full-bodied and bold with a nice mouthfeel.
Fruit forward with medium minus acidity and a strong chocolaty nose.
A nice wine to have all by itself and good right out of the bottle. A nice porch wine. Nothing fancy, but very drinkable.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot and Petite Sirah. Aged in French oak barrels for 6 months.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
86 points.
$13.

If you are looking for and easy drinking red, give this a try. Some blackberry and slight cherry and vanilla on the nose along with some modest earthy flavors. Was really intrigued by a slight cinnamon flavor in the mid palate. Had a faint watery flavor right at the front palate that, if not present, would have raised my score a bit. Like I said, easy drinking and went well with our spaghetti.
