Compared to a young Cali Cab and a young Brunello this one seemed to hold its on in the Pinot spectrum quite nicely. One of the better pinots I've had quite honestly, and the guess from me would have been a 2012 Pinot from Sonoma. This one is NOT showing its age. Still VERY MUCH showing youthful restraint with red bing cherry tart immediately on the front, with a great full bodied berry medium and finish. This wine is tightly wound, packed with herb and black licorice . Very, very nice wine.
