Mark and I agreed to meet up at Classic this afternoon for some quick wine drinking, but it eventually turned in to a small wine gathering! Wine is great, but sharing it with others is so enjoyable.
I feel like the tough 2011 year probably did this wine some good in dialing it back. The acidity is still very high here. Lots of bing cherry, cedar, rhubarb.

Aug 5th, 2017Incredibly well made American Pinot Noir. The oak adds great spicy character but the floral perfume is absolutely captivating. Mouthfeel was chalky and reminiscent of a well done red burgundy. Very good stuff.

Oct 15th, 2017Enjoyable and solid but not quite great. Light to medium bodied, lots of mostly cherry red fruit, with a bit of syrupy feel to it, and some menthol. Aromatics starting opening up and wine improved with an hour or two of air. I’d maybe wait a bit more - I was hoping for more from this wine.
