First time for this producer and very rarely have wines from the Orange District. Lovely aromatics, not really Cab Sauv but then I noticed the blend was 45% Cab Sauvignon; 45% Cab Franc; 10% Shiraz. A lovely Aussie right bank rendition you might say. Red and black fruits with plum and tobacco notes. The palate is sweetish and luscious texture with supple tannins. This wine proves that Orange Is an accredited Australian wine district for both Reds and Whites taking in Hilltops. Have experienced the excellent whites from here and must seek out more Reds based on the quality of this wine.
