Cantina Bartolo Mascarello
Dolcetto d'Alba
This wine isn’t crazy complex, dense..but for me at $26 hits exactly what I want with food. Dang I wish I had bought more!

Feb 15th, 2020Beautiful consistent deep red colour, lovely balance on the palate with a well assembled rosehip taste. Very good, old school dolcetto and among the best I’ve tasted. It’s higher price puts it against mi-level Barbera or entry level Barolo and it’s likely more e notable than either.

Oct 25th, 2020Hibiscus, herbs, grippy minerals, wood chips but not sweet smell, the acids, wood and hibiscus tea like herbs come together and the finish is bitter, opens and gives a nice full and fruit driven body
