Wow! Light brown/brick red (classic Nebbiolo) color. Amazing early notes of cherry, smoke, savory baking spices blowing from the glass. Light, almost thin mouth feel, but long, lingering finish with soft, chewy tannins. Definitely shines with acidity of tomato sauce and fennel-flecked sausage. The co-op that produces this high altitude gem makes me smile in recognition of my benchmarked Nebbiolo experience….nearly impossible to find at retail… I greedily mixed a case of their three levels. Far better than it needs to be; these have become my “house” pasts/pizza quaff while they last.
