Vorberg Riserva Terlano Pinot Bianco

Finally a wine that lives up to the hype. Engaging on so many levels. And drinking at room temp really brought out all the components. 2016 still super young at 5 yrs. can’t wait to try my other bottles down the road.

Absolutely stunning example of Pinot Bianco, an underrated variety in my opinion. The nose shows yellow apple, orange blossom, some creamy custardy character and a slight hint of sweet spice. In the mouth this wine is lush and lively with loads of texture from the barrel ferment and sur-lie aging. Quince jam, pineapple upside-down cake, and chamomile resonate on the intense finish. Had this for the first time at Single Thread a year and a half ago and bought a few bottles shortly thereafter. Worth it.

Very clean, with a washed rock kind of feel. Almost too subtle at first but stay with it - almond paste and guava juice begin to peek out of the lemon rind.

Good acidity, a bit buttery and sweet, but definitely not overbearing in that department. Perfect wine with our latkes and matzo ball soup. 🔥🔥🔥

Arama room inside il Dandy. Terlano always impresses.
