Take a chance on me (ala ABBA) said this bottle. $9.99 said the orange price tag. And it’s decent wine. Smells ‘winey’ with some subtle herbal elements with the berries of the red sort. It’s fairly simple on the palate, but it’s got a tannic bite and some woodsy cedar, fir, fresh cut valley oak stuff too. Even a bit of a savory, red meat side. Not particularly dynamic. But it’s gratifying and avoids the fruit/vanilla bomb of lesser $10 bottles out there. I’d love to know the grape variety blend... (web says mostly Cab with some ‘propriety red blend’ making up around 17% of it). Next question is Cab from where?
