Aug 30th, 2016Wonderful expression of Encruzado grapes (a native grape variety from Portugal). Spontaneous fermentation in Stainless Steel. Pale yellow, very light color. The first smell is alcohol, that is higher respect the regular whites(13,5%). After swirling a little bit the glass, nuances of tropical fruits like pineapple and papaya join the game, with honey and white melon. It's delicate but explosive at the same time on the palate; well balanced acidity, that remarks its freshness. A very little effervescent, with hints of pineapple and tropical fruits, recalling the nose's profile. Very fresh and drinkable. It pairs perfectly with light cheeses, delicate fish dishes or alone as a nice aperitivo! Recommended to all, who wants to explore the real expression of Portuguese indigenous white varieties. Cheers
