The wine yesterday had me missing Chile...Earthy notes of tobacco, cloves, and blackberry on the nose. Tastes of black cherry, cinnamon, and a hint of sweet peppers. Still a good balance of tannins and acidity. The toasty French oak settles on the palate in the finish. Carménère is a special grape...
