Fresh upfront range of fruit, not super complex but balanced and a joy to drink. Love what Cass is doing in east paso, making more elegant, complex wines as opposed to big and ripe wines.

Even at 12 years there is a lot of life ahead. Tannins has soften and just a soft mellow wine. Color had diminished a bit but still delicious. Still ripe raspberries. Masters Sunday. Tournament doesn’t begin until the last 9 on Sunday 😆

Drinking the 2013 in 2018. Medium royal purple color. Thick legs. Peppery and fruit forward bouquet. Smooth flavor with rich notes of blackberry and cassis. Very nice wine.

Berry reduction, violet, elegant aromas that later deepen into turmeric and leather.
