Austin Hope

Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

As good as advertised! The nose permeates the air immediately upon uncorking! And what a nose it is! The ripe fruits just burst out of the bottle before you finish pouring the first few ounces. Full bodied, great mouthfeel, mild tannins but enough to think it could age a bit very nicely. But, why wait when it’s drinking so well already. Even though it sells in the $65-70 range nationally, my local wine store has it for under $40 which makes it quite the bargain. Will definitely be stocking up!! — 12 days ago

Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon

Good for a restaurant wine choice when there are no Italian reds. Not overly juicy or in your face typical of the region. Probably due to the nice peppery overlay. Acidity and tannins well balanced to permit mouthwatering enjoyment up front followed by a long relatively soft finish. Priced a bit much. — a month ago

Esprit Blanc de Tablas Roussanne Blend 2019

Blend of 66% Roussanne, 21% Grenache Blanc, 8% Picpoul Blanc, 3% Picardan & 2% Clairette Blanch, aged in French oak (20% new). Pale to medium lemon color with aromas of stone fruits, flower blossoms and nutty spice. On the palate flavors of ripe apple, baked pears and citrus zest with touches of honeysuckle and sweet oak. Long finish, good mouthfeel, well balanced with acidity ending with fruit, nutty notes and pronounced mineral character, very nice! — 20 days ago
