2015 Vintage. Lovely but better the next day. — 2 months ago
2010 James Berry rough by our buddy Rob went up after the 2013 Alban Patrina. Wow, a Syrah blend with plenary of Grenache, it was more elegant and very smooth with velvet mouthfeel and red fruits. Long finish. Lovely evening. — 5 days ago
2023 Distenta V Syrah. Much more tightly wound than the Grenache.. 2-3 hour decant recommended. Lots of iodine, iron and tar. Will wait years before opening another. Baby killing for sure but wow. — a month ago
2015 Vintage. Lush velvety fruit. Loved it. — a month ago
2013 intake. The label was scratched when I bought it, but the cork was perfect. Amazing wine started with the usual little Alban reduced funk but quickly blew off and licorice, iron, cinnamon and nutmeg with long finish. Loved it with Greek food at Athena Grill in Santa Clara, CA. — 5 days ago
2023 Distenta V Grenache blend with Mourvèdre and Syrah. Baby killing as it arrived a few weeks ago, but generous fruit and velvet mouthfeel with long finish. Enjoyed for Valentine’s Day. — a month ago
2019 Vintage. Needed air on opening pour. Good acidity. Plenty of oak. Unknown blend of whites. Odd bottle shape, not rack friendly. — a month ago
