Not as good as the '21. This year offers 40% Merlot, 32% Cab Franc, 23% Cab Sauv and 5% Petite Verdot. IGT. Olive tamponade, a bit dusty and cedar opener. Full mouthfeel and very drinkable now, but this might benefit from a time out for a while. — 12 days ago

Once I visited Paul Lato I knew I'd be hooked for many years. His elegance in making the most beautiful Pinots is rewarded in every sip. Cherrys and red fruits dominate this wine. Long structured mid palate and softer tannins keep this going all night. — a month ago

Just stunning. All the benefits of bottle age, complexity and finesse make this a superb Howell Mtn Cab. Loads of up front mountain fruit, a nice floral nose and balance through the mid palate ending in a long romantic finish. Touché to the older days of Ladera. — 2 months ago

Simple IGT red blend. Best paired with food. Slightly acidic and tannic but not a bad drinker if you're looking for a BYOB night with friends. — 25 days ago

Still drinking well. Loads of up front black and blue fruit and the structure you'd expect from Hall. This wine is mellowed with 6% Merlot but still big and bold. Easily goes both 5-7 yrs. — a month ago

100% Syrah. This is a very inexpensive Cotes but 2019 was a banner year. Velvety and full bodied. Notes of black cherry, graphite and cocoa powder. Medium tannins brings a decent finish. Nicely paired with a spicy grilled chicken. — 2 months ago

This 2018 is 100% Merlot. Opens to a subtle floral note with black cherry and cranberries. Medium body with a nice mouthfeel. The finish is a little smoky and bit of a back of the throat spice. — 24 days ago

This is the La Encantada Vineyard Pinot and might be one of the best from this producer. Nice fruit forward of black cherry, cola, star anise and cracked pepper. Love the earthy and floral nose of this single-vineyard wine. Big fan of this. Not so much on the other vineyards. — a month ago

Not a big fan. It's current release 2022 but a huge miss. The overwhelming profile is an herbal taste of thyme. Very odd for a Merlot. Nice fruit profile and tannins could use a yr or two. I'll need to give the next bottle a few years. — 2 months ago
