2015 vintage. 90% Sangiovese with 10% Merlot. This is owned by Felsina since 1981. All hand harvested. Very muted nose at first but opened up after a few minutes.
Rich ruby red colour with black fruit, leather, tea and perfumed nose.
Medium bodied, nice acidity with flavours of red/tart/Rainer cherries and earthiness. The bit of Merlot adds a softness to this wine. It is very crushable and would pair amazingly with duck.
