On a quest to check in on a few of the older orphans (only 1 bottle left) in our cellar. Can't believe how good this was. Decanted it through an aerator. Smooth, soft, incredibly well balanced.

A spectacular example from Priorat. A bit slow to open up on the nose with red and black fruit, spice, wet stone minerality, and a bit of leather. Palate is beautiful with a nice mid-palate over berries, fine medium tannins, vanilla, and a long finish. There's a bit of earth and leather which shows the maturation of the wine. The freshness and presence of fruit in this 13 year old wine is startling. Really nice wine.
