Haven’t ever had a Chappellet I didn’t like. This was opaque and full bodied, a bit of spice. Hardly noticeable tannin, still a nice bite of acid. Juicy chewy and totally enjoyable.

Chappellet had a nice lineup including this Zin. A little hot to start but opened up nicely after 40-45 minutes. ZOTN in my wood-fired pizza Zin-off.

A huge zin with fruit that will kick your nose off. Nearing balanced, but too much alcohol at 15.6% to reach it. Still delicious, though.

2012 Zin, green garden salad, homemade meat sauce with pasta and garlic bread. Good now or lay it down to mellow. Nice snap and a good peppery Zin.
