Wow. Downright youthful. Gorgeous. Plums still dominate. Earth. Rich and full but still lively with acidity. Floral perfume. Thank you Jason Wise. I made this wine. It was one of the great vintages of the decade. The same year I founded Corison Winery. Great vintage.

Decanter worthy! Wild cassis to luxury leather. Truly one of the best California Cabernets I have ever had, the other was 1984 Mayacamus Cabernet. Next up - 1988 Nalle Family wines Cabernet.

Didn't have the 1987 Corison for our vertical, but grabbed this (since Cathy was still the winemaker for this vintage). So interesting compared to the Corison's in the flight. Obviously different sites, but very youthful, lots of dried flowers (violets, roses) on the nose, cassis on the palate.
