First impression: the bottle is heavy! Probably the heaviest bottle from a US producer I have gotten a hand on. Good thing that what’s inside the bottle has the substance to back up the bottle weight.
The nose is relatively restrained with perfectly ripen plum, cassis, cedar, olive, cigar box, and touch of forest floor. The palate is more opulent than the nose suggested, with rich ripe black fruit core. Very good texture. Silky tannins.
