I know this wine will be great in another 10...but I feel like I was getting a glimpse of its plateau this year. 12 wasn't the best year in Pauillac, but I am thoroughly enjoying the vintage across the board of left bank Bordeaux. It was showing that world class Pauillac nose - cigar box, gravelly/loamy soil, and mulled fruit. The pallet is nice and rich but not necessarily fruit forward, exhibiting flavors of stewed black plum, red apple skin, vanilla and espresso bean, and a lovely finish. This also made a great wine for our Cigars.

A lovely wine from the mixed 2012 vintage, still very young and needs time to further evolve. Deep garnet color, tempting aromas of cassis, black cherries, vanilla, black current, dark chocolate and cedar wood, lovely full body, with rich yet tight tannins, some fruit and a rich texture, acidity is lively and will guaranty at least another decade of aging. The finish is long, rich and dry. If 2012 will all go in this direction we are up for a nice surprise vintage. My score 90, drink to 2026

Very impressive for such a young vintage.

Lovely nose cinnamon and spice box. On the palette, it's wonderfully weighted. Tobacco and sweet dark fruits blend perfectly. Tannins are somewhat integrated, but need more time. This has the potential to evolve to a much better place. Lay this down for 3 - 5 years.

Aging gracefully. Cagey at first then deep fruit and softened tannin with that Pauillac grip on the finish
