Château d'Arsac
Cru Bourgeois Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend
The most red-fruited Margaux I've ever drunk, yes! Elegant, fresh and delicious; this earned it's gold medal in Paris. Wish I had bought more.

Mar 30th, 2021Left Bank blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (72%) and Merlot (28%). Dark red color with purple highlights. Highly perfumed nose featuring raspberry, blueberry and violets. Plush red, blue and black berry fruit on the pallet with a touch of black tea and spice. Long and nicely oak accented finish. Medium-plus body with some power. Fresh, rich and well balanced. Drink now or hold. Thank You Keith S!

Jan 1st, 2021Nice, young Margaux, plenty of potential here. Needs a little time to open up but after an hour this is very enjoyable. Nose is blackcurrants, oak, vanilla and a little menthol and spice. Early on the palate is fresh and clean but a little savoury however, the fruit and some sweetness evolve as it warms up. Tannins are present but not too drying and on day two they have smoothed out. This is a good value wine, worthy of cellaring, give it five years and probably be at the sweet spot.
