Dec 28th, 2017Reminiscent of white Burgundy in its precision and breadth. Leads you into thinking it will be over the top with the lush heady and tropical notes. Subtle oak that I love on Chenin that bring out almost a lemon curd/toasty note. Palate is bursting with acid, much more citrus, quince, pear, and crushed rock on the palate with a lingering finish. This is very complex, wound, and offers a little something different with every sip. Arguably one of the best CB I've had.

First bottle with age from one of my fav chenin producers. Still had its zingy finish but the wine was developed in a beautiful way.

Wow... this was outstanding. A floral bouquet + honeycomb + chalk left out in the rain... And I haven’t even got to the tingly, acidic grace note yet. A wonderful complement to grilled halibut with lemon and asparagus.

Everything you want in a chenin. Cut grass, big acid and mineral body, but also with a slight reductive note for depth. Drank it with a pear/ham/shallot tarte salee and lentil salad, felt French AF.
