Garnet with purplish highlights. Once the "funk" blew off there were some earth loamy aromas mixed with cassis and dried flowers. Ripe red fruit dominated the core with intermingled favors of licorice and tobacco. Not particularly long on the finish the tannins had a soft supple texture.

Some serious funk on the nose that cooled off after about an hr of breathing. Garnet color with some vanilla and cassis in the bouquet. Some earthy spice going down the hatch. Went great with a strong Roquefort.
