Strong orange grove honey aspect mingled with treacle, unctuous citrus reductions give way to baked apricot and clover honey, almond nougat, ginger and candied citrus peel melange. Unreal on the palate. Just a perfect solution with intense focus resembling great scotch with pear and apricot leading into intense sunflower petal and ginger, chamomile and drops of marmalade with a bake essence that is downright expansive infinitesimally.

Dec 10th, 2022Dark brown gold with a huge nose. Notes of tropical fruit including oranges and ripe citrus, toffee, apricots, crème brulee, stones and some amazing spice. In the mouth this expands as the dense fruit is able to roam about. While this is a fruit driven experience, there is still a ton of acidity there. This bottle was maybe a bit more advanced than some others we've had of this in the past, it still hit the bullseye and finished off the evening in style. (Bday 13 of 13)

Sep 9th, 2018Tasted blind. Dark gold. Aromatic honeyed nose with notes of brown sugar, cardamom spice, and something like warm orange sauce. Long lasting finish. This was much darker than the last bottle we had of this. Maybe a storage issue at some point. Still, a great end to an amazing evening. A birthday dinner where the guests get the presents. Thks Murray!

This was a slow leaker. Amazingly it was fresh with years left. Truly beautiful and not a bit cloying which is my usual pan on Yquem. Guess I just have to wait 50 years!
