Just what vintage Bordeaux should be. They say 82 was the intro to the modern style. maybe it's the age, but this wine has the elegance and power I expect out of claret, yet so refined and balanced. Harvested almost the same time as 45s. It could definitely go for longer, but damn near perfect now.

1982: Green pepper anyone? Certainly has the most personality of the focused flight of 82's opened today. Undiminished from first experience from a magnum a decade ago.

Still good fruit, but lots of cigar box, spice, cedar, some very mild vanilla notes, some funk. Drinking very well now.
