In very good shape 10 years out. Mostly red fruit and moderate tannins. No cool bottle development but still very good for what was a $20 wine upon release. Very in-Rolland.

Nov 28th, 2016Excellent Bordeaux blend for the price (<$50 at LCBO). Fronsac not as well known/regarded as its right bank brethren, but this chateau well worth a try. Good fruit up front with some pepper, leather and earth; the last of which is missing in new world merlots. No judgement; just different. Fairly long finish that leaves a little liquorice. Really like this one! Wish I had a few more to lay down to see how time would improve this vintage.
