Very nice. Nose has cedar, crushed gravel, a bit of graphite, and a beam of focused cassis. Intense and savory in the mouth, with iron and iodine notes going along with the dark fruit. Great acidity and the tannins are there but ripe. Really nice now. Probably will improve over the next 2-4 years.

Feb 21st, 2022I don’t drink a lot of Bordeaux, mainly because it doesn’t go with a lot of the Italian-ish stuff I cook, but I do enjoy a nice one when the food is conducive to it. This has lovely, composed, slightly plummy cassis fruit, and warm gravelly scents, along with a waft of sweet smoke. Great balance in the mouth (only 13%) with nice acids and super-soft tannins.
