Poured with an aerator right after opening. Smell like cherry and a little brine (barely) and leaves. A little toffee. Tastes anonymously like good wine - a little coffee and cherry and bitter tannin. It’s good - good value! $9 at Trader Joe’s. Will likely buy again.

Tastes too plasticky - the licorice and coffee notes just don't go with this kind of red.

Color of cloudy ruby with purple hues. Nice legs. Nose of dark fruits, spice, a bit cured meat, strength of alcohol, and oak. Taste is pretty dried, bold tannins, subtle dark fruits, bitter zest, and bit peppery, warm alcohol. Clean and no edge. Aftertaste shows some more grape skin, tannins, oak, and currants. Not bad.
