Blackberry, cassis, and an early touch of fig that becomes more earthy--leather, mushroom, and floral(?) with aeration. Persistent and mildly chalky tannins afford a nice compliment with grilled filet mignon. Still too young; rating would likely increase (91-92?) with more time.

I was expecting Bordeaux. An earlier note referenced vibrant fruit and that's exactly what this had upon opening. Not what anticipated, but right up my alley. Unfortunately, the fruit faded over the course of an hour and earthiness emerged and I've just never grown into that flavor profile. So, in the end, blah.

Deep dark fruit on the nose. Persistent tannins slightly dominates, might serve to wait a few years with this one.
