Concentrated sweetness initially, seems like it's pushing too much energy up front. But then it relaxes and realizes it's quite a good wine half way through. Zinging acidity.

2011 - $29
Wonderful, merlot-driven St-Emilion from a colder year. Red, fleshy fruit with a sturdy tannin/acid backbone. This is not super complex wine, but it's a great entry into right-bank juice. Lacks some non-fruit notes to take it to the next level.
