Château Fleur Cardinale

Grand Cru Classé Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

First bottle corked. Luckily able to pull another from the cellar to compare. What a difference! Great learning when you can compare. Black cherry, smooth, decent acidity, very soft tannins. First bottle was wet cardboard. — 23 days ago

This. A warm meat log. Perfection. Still has the notes without the “dust”. — 16 days ago

Château Beauséjour

St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 1990

1990 vintage. Last tasted slightly over 3 years ago (8.7). Solid fill and cork. Not decanted. Tasted after two hours. A curious, fecal nose that never dissipated but nose didn’t invade the flavors that were earthy and spicy. This was immeasurably improved over the last encounter. Based on this visit, could go another 2-3 years at this level. 11.21.25. — a day ago
