On the palate, it's dry, with high acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of eucalyptus, plum, leather, black cardamom, and tabacco smoke with a medium finish. This wine is complex, but a little lacking in fruit to balance the tannins. I'm hoping it opens up with time in the glass. Overall, I would rate this wine as good. It may be past its prime. After decanting and leaving it in the fridge for 3 days, it has opened up and is showing more fruit. The tannins have also calmed down. I'm bumping it up a few more points. — 11 days ago
