2016 Château La Bastienne Montagne-St. Émilion Merlot

I had the 2010 vintage 2 years ago in 2017 and apparently wasn’t impressed with it. Happy I gave it another try because the 2016 is delish! Lots of dense, dark fruit, dust, bitter chocolate. Med tannin/acid. Med+ body.

Strong black pepper and some anise on the nose. Cherry, black plum and dark chocolate. Still plenty of tannin.
