Dark purple tawny and opaque. Notes of gravel stone, freshly cut cigar, saddle leather, mocha and some barnyard floor. Has a great earthiness to it. Smooth in the mouth with great structure. The fruit and finish are slightly dry, and with that I suspect the wine is slightly past its most powerful peak. But overall the perfume of the wine is amazing and certainly memorable.
