Perfume, plums, ripe/ cooked cherries, spices on the nose. M+ acidity with alcohol, quite thin and powerful at the beginning but finishes with water and nothingness.

Was hitting on all cylinders... cassis, leather and earth.. smooth wine with plenty of years ahead of it... fruit was very present. Dark garnett color. Over time started to out shine the 98 soldera riserva

1995: The "Oh well, why not" consolation prize wine, opened to keep the conversation going. Classic La Mission nose, very supple and approachable on the palate. Vaporized a bit quickly on the finish, yet wrapped up the evening nicely with a little breeding.
