Loamy and somewhat medicinal/herbal aromatics. Fruit petty much gone. Nice resolved tannin coupled with complementary acidity. A pleasure to try a 50 year old wine that still had some life.

This was enjoyed at the 2013 Fete de la Fleur at Chateau Lagrange, St. Julien-- magnum!

Tasted at wine dinner. Drinking well.

2002 Vintage. Decanted for approx 1.5 hrs. Throwing a decent amount of sed. At the top of its’ particular bell curve-not getting any better. Drink up time.

1961 vintage. Holding up pretty well for the vintage of the century.
