Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend

Classic Lafite. Hard to put into words. It was delicate yet still powerful. I’ve had the wine in my cellar since a year or so after release. We were stunned at how well it had aged…45?years old and still retained its fruit. It was worth the wait

A testimony to the importance of producer. Classic.

Took a couple of hours to open up and iron down some pretty tasty and elegant tannins. Quite nice!!

After 31 years finally free at last. Was good, very balanced. But surpassed it's peak.

#enmagnum Direct from Suntory’s cellar. By far the best red we’ve had in a loooong time. An amazing balance of fruit, acidity and development. Long finish mainly of fruit but with some chocolate and cigar notes. Matched perfectly with the chateaubriand steak which only made it taste younger. #primetimewinetime #右上の会

Definitely over the hill but not quite through the woods. Enjoyable for a foreseeable 30 minutes before falling apart. Tired leather notes with decaying fruit and turned earth gone the other way complemented by tomato stew.

Amazing! So smooth and delicious.

Still many years left.
