Held up very well for a 30 year old wine. Took about 1-2 hours to really open up and hit its peak. Finished by hour 3 as it seemed to tail off. Very cool drinking a Lafite.

Surprisingly that these '84s held up so well 30 years later. But that's what you expect from a premier grand cru, oui? Dark ruby color has turned toasty brown. Fruit notes are now woody or tobacco vs. currants or cherries. A lovely wine aging elegantly.
