Château Langoa Barton
Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend
This was purchased 16 years ago and stored perfectly since. I saw the 2016 version was WOY at WS so I decided to crack this open. Silky smooth texture, perfectly mature, and very refined and classy. Embarrassed to say I bought this for $25 in 2004! Too bad I only had 1.

Oct 6th, 2018Chocolate, warm cherries, mocha, patisserie, cream, rubber, coffee, some alcoholic heat. Rich, broad, modern, new oak bitterness. Very luxury and posh and chocolate-y.
But not entirely my cuppa...

Liquor and pure chocolate, made in a modern style, some alcohol heat in the nose, sweet cherry scent, creamy, woody bitters in the aftertaste. Mocha. I'd want it to be a tad more classical. Revisit in a year or three.

Jun 21st, 2017Classic claret. Firm backbone, sweet black fruits on the palate & very nice balance of acidity & smooth tannins.

Apr 2nd, 2017GL tasting 1/27/17 Langoa Leoville. Very funky barnyard nose with fruit and nicely resolving tannins and long complex finish. Funk Carries through to finish. Yum. Owners favorite.

Jan 26th, 2017Its very dark red color. Very distinctively Bordeaux on the nose. I decanted it and it was bold in the beginning on the pallet. It turn into a more floral aroma about 1/2 an hour into drinking but it turned a bit run at the end after an hour. Enjoyed the wine but can't give it a 90+ out of a 100

Mar 12th, 2016Excellent Bordeaux, un de mes chateaux préféré dans un millésime que j'affectionne particulièrement. Techniquement pas le meilleur vin mais coté plaisir, j'adore
